Kristjan is a portfolio manager in Ambient Sound Investments which is an investment company founded by the founding engineers of Skype. His focus is mainly on investments into early stage technology companies. Kristjan is adding value to portfolio companies mainly in three areas: (a) mentoring the portfolio companies’ managements on setting amities goals and finding fastest ways to reach them, (b) raising capital for financing chosen strategies and (c) working on exit transactions when selling portfolio companies to strategic acquirers (ASI has had 8 successful exits during the past three years). Kristjan is also responsible for finding new investment opportunities for Ambient Sound Investments which means that he reviews hundreds of investment proposals from start-ups each year.
