We are pleased to finally announce the 24 projects that qualified to the European Finals of the competition in Sopot, Poland 24-26 September 2012.

The 24 finalists that qualified to European Finals in Sopot must register for the final event by August 19th. In case any team will not accomplish the registration by August 19th we will open the registration for the teams from the waiting list.

These final projects were selected by the pool of international Judges representing business as well as academia. The evaluation was based on the Business Plan and the Elevetor Pitch Video that each team prepared for the 2nd Round of the competition.
Almost 4,000 ideas were submitted through 20 affiliated competitions and on-line platform. Among all the nine categories (including nanotechnology, robotics, biotechnology, electronics, or energy), the most – almost half – of all the projects were submitted in the areas of Software and IT and Mobile and Wireless.
This year’s European finals will take place in Sopot between September 24 and 26 as a supporting event of the European Forum for New Ideas (EFNI) 2012, organized by the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan.
In Sopot the 24 best teams will defend their ideas in front of an international jury. Before they will get a chance for mentoring sessions with business professionals. The three winning teams will be awarded cash prizes – a total of USD 50,000, and they will travel to Silicon Valley (California) to compete in the Intel Global Challenge finals in November 2012.
The project is organized by Intel, which also donates the prizes. The project’s organizing partner is INVESTIN High Tech Fund. The strategic partner is the European organization Junior Achievement-Young Enterprise, and the accredited partner is Proseed, the technology business magazine.
