Alvise Bonivento

PhD. Investment manager at IMI Fondi Chiusi Sgr, part of the Intesa San Paolo Group and management team member in three VC funds: Atlante Ventures, Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno, and Atlante Seed. He follows investments all along the pipeline from scouting to deal negotiations and follow up, and is currently serving as Board member of two companies in the ICT domain. Prior to joining IMI Fondi Chiusi, he was an associate and junior manager at McKinsey & Co. at the Mediterranean Complex, where he led several teams in operations and corporate finance projects. Before that, while he was a graduate student at U.C. Berkeley, Alvise worked as a private technology consultant for several Italian major corporations in innovation projects and developed patents on wireless systems for industrial automation. He holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from U.C. Berkeley ('04 and '07) and a Laurea Degree in Communication engineering from the University of Padova ('02).

Michael Cherkassky

Michael is a versatile expert, having both ‘hands on’ development experience and product management background. Throughout his army service in the IAF Special Forces and his professional career, leadership and innovation were a cornerstone of any mission.
Michael had a leading position in several ventures within the Internet domain, both in Israel and Europe, where he took part in product development from idea to revenue and company development from concept to exit.
For 2 years Michael was on the management team of Biztec, Israel’s entrepreneurship challenge, helping teams across the ‘tech’ spectrum achieve their dream of a successful start-up.
Michael holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion, IIT and currently works for Intel, developing next-gen power efficient processors.

He holds a PhD from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and a Master in Technology and Innovation Management from SPRU (University of Sussex, Brighton). He is Associate editor of the R&D Management Journal and Creativity and Innovation Management Journal. He collaborates with large and medium-sized companies (Knauf, Ansaldo Energia, TT Venture, etc.) in the field of Open Innovation and with the regional governments of Puglia and Tuscany in the field of policies for entrepreneurship and technology transfer. Spent hours consulting PhD students in the subject of Valuation of Innovative Technology and Creating Business Plans for EU projects.

Managed a joint venture transaction with Aurec Capital group, one of the richest companies in Israel with a private capital. Consequently developing her business skills and experience, she started work for an investment fund as Investment Manager. She is responsible for development of business models for new technologies and management of the start-up companies.
