Established in 1997, Junior Achievement Bulgaria is a member nation of Junior Achievement Worldwide (JAW) and its regional entity Junior Achievement –Young Enterprise Europe (JA-YE).

Junior Achievement Bulgaria (JAB) is the leading organization in Bulgaria offering established contemporary and high quality programs and courses in business, economics and the development of the entrepreneurial spirit through educational and hands-on activities in economics, financial literacy, business skills, leadership and strategies for success. These programs are designed for young people ages 6-25 and are implemented through a partnership between local businesses, industry and the schools and academia. Yearly, JAB reaches more than 35 000 students (high schools and universities). JAB is working closely with 21 universities, has access to the whole national educational system and has in its network of collaborators the local startup community, seed capital funds and VCs, representatives of the international innovation community and the media.

Milena Stoycheva, CEO of the organization, is the national coordinator. She has rich experience in teaching and promoting the entrepreneurial activities in the region, as well as expertise in different fields: both business and education, working with VCs, angel investors, seed funds and government. She has been involved in the Intel Business Challenge as a judge, coach and entrepreneur in the last 4 years and is coordinating the activities in the country for the development and promotion of the entrepreneurial ecosystem as well as being a mentor with one of the accelerators. She has been selected and received executive training in leadership, managerial excellence and coaching from Penn State University and UC Berkeley in the US. She serves on the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Council for Education and Innovation and is a member of several expert groups on entrepreneurship and innovation, both globally and at the EU level.
