Lietuvos Junior Achievement’s (LJA) mission is to educate and inspire Lithuanian youth to value free enterprise, understand economics and business, to foster initiative, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.

More than 20,000 students from Lithuanian schools are participating in LJA programmes in the 2013/2014 school year. The geographical reach of the education programmes covers the whole country – students from more than 120 Lithuanian cities, have the opportunity to participate in its business and entrepreneurship education programmes. LJA is a member of the JA-YE Europe network.

LJA is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation.

Short bio

Eugenijus Savicius joined JA in 1993, at the very start of JA’s operations in the Lithuania. Before joining JA he worked as a researcher at the Institute of Physics of Academy of Sciences in Lithuania for more than 15 years, after graduating from Vilnius University. In 1982 he successfully defended his PhD doctoral thesis. JA Lithuania is recognised as the leader in economics and business education in Lithuanian schools.
